Did she really loved me....? Part-9

  Villain still present...

Raj's father is an 1979 batch Indian Foreign Service officer. He has been deputed to many countries in his career. Raj's schooling should not be affected so his father never took his family along with him when he was deputed outside India. Currently he is deputed in the Indian Embassy in USA for a period of 4 years. It was 6:30 PM, but our conversation was still not over and the door-bell ranged. It was her mother; she introduced me to her mother. After looking at her mother I came to know why Alma was so beautiful. Well I wanted to listen to the further part but I was feeling like an alien in that house with her mother around. I took her leave with a heavy heart. I was keen to listen further to her.

Next morning 10:00 AM I waited outside the building but lacked enough guts to visit her house. After half-an-hour something struck my flashbulb memory and felt as if the neurons were
transmitting information to the nerve cells in form of song ‘Mere rang mein, rangnewali, pari ho ya ho pariyon ki rani…..’ just like an asteroid struck the earth as per the Alvarez hypothesis,  and I looked behind to confirm her presence, Voila!!  I saw Alma dressed in a baby-pink salwar-kurta, pink-blue sandal and small blue color wallet. My eyes popped-out just to say 'Wow!! ‘Heavenly soul, she is just …damn cute, today she was looking three times more beautiful than when I saw her for the first time. It was too much for my brain cells to reserve her beauty, I closed my eyes for few seconds and took a few deep breaths and opened them swiftly to see her again. She came near me and said 'Why are you waiting here? You should have come upstairs'. I asked her how she came to know about my whereabouts, she said, she was looking at me from past 30 minutes from the balcony. I said, I wanted to hear further from where you stopped yesterday. She gave a cute smile on hearing this, a 'Perfect Smile' for a perfect dress my heart said. Girls probably know which smile suits on which dress pattern. She said lets go to Silver Beach. 'Silver Beach?' where is this in Mumbai, I have never heard of it, my eyes gave a unknown reaction. She said it’s very near to her house, near Military Road, Juhu. We took an auto-rickshaw till there. Truly the beach was heaven. Less crowded an oxymoron I could think of. The only four things present over there were the Sun, the sky, the water and you along with your loved one. A fantastic place, a jubilant location.

I thanked Alma for letting me know of such a place in Mumbai, which rarely anyone knows and reminded her of the yesterday’s incomplete conversation. Alma continued, it was Raj's dream to get admission in Jai Hind college, undoubtedly he got admission on first day first list. Due to huge cut-off I doubted whether my name will be ever displayed in the selected candidates list. I saw my name in the third list. We both used to travel together to college. We enjoyed a lot. We came more and more near to each other soulfully and physically, but Raj never had bad intentions in his mind, a true gentleman. Raj's mom never liked me, I don’t know why and she forced Raj's father to proceed ahead for entire family visa this time. Also by now Raj's 10 years schooling was complete and he can complete his further studies while being in US, so Raj's family completely shifted to USA from past few months. A mellowed smile surged on my face equally similar when a lollypop is shown to crying kid. To me it was a ray of happiness and hope.

I looked at Alma to listen more carefully the further part. To confirm whether I was still part of the queue, I asked her 'Are you still in contact? Was Raj your special friend?'  I think Alma was smart enough to understand the emphasis I laid on the word 'special friend', she replied 'Raj was just a friend, who helped me get out of pang of situation where I was stuck from a long time, the situation which slowly devastated  my education and my being. We are not in contact. ' I said to myself, 'If the Raj chapter is over, then why is she taking his name again and again?', but I didn't allow my emotions to depict this on my face. After few months in college, I saw you following me and waiting for me every morning at Churchgate Station, yeah every girl has this sixth sense of knowing who is following them. Initially I thought you were a loafer, but that day when you touched my shoulder from behind I got very agitated, then you reached my college, truly speaking I wanted to kill you.

I wanted to make a project for college for 'Presentation Skills' subject and topic given to me was 'Groundwater Percolation System Through Vadose Zone'. The topic drilled my brain till my stomach, such topics were given out of the box for every student, so that they take efforts and prepare properly. Shamirah told me that in her brother’s college they teach Geology. She investigated further and told me that her brother’s friend knows geology and has also done a project on similar lines. Actually I know guys fall for girls, I wanted to woo you and take as much advantage as possible from you and complete my project. I purposefully used to speak very sweetly with you, but you never gave me any demand. You never wanted to meet me, how I look etc, etc. I liked this very much about you. You were determined to complete my project and that too with perfection. With your every ‘no’, a star was added against your name in my brain. You never wanted to show-off anything; you never disclosed your identity. It was only when I forced multiple times you came to meet me. It did not go well with me when I saw you present in Cafe Coffee Day, and the more shocking event was then when I learned that you are the same person who followed me for so many days and also helped me to your apex limit in completing my project.
